Wayne School District is seeking applicants for the following positions:  
 
Maintenance Assistant
This position will require adequate knowledge and skills to properly support the School District with maintenance work, grounds maintenance, and building maintenance. This person will perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks which may require skills in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, painting, and general grounds and facilities care. Applicants must possess the ability to work and interact well with other employees, demonstrate professional and ethical character, and possess excellent communication skills.

Other Requirements for this position include:

  • Maintenance & Mechanical experience
  • Working closely with the Maintenance Manager 
  • Must be willing to work Weekends & Holidays during the winter
  • Required to have or obtain a CDL License & Endorsement to drive school busses

The chosen applicant must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employment background check, and will need to complete the necessary employee paperwork and policy review. This position is Full-Time and includes Leave Time, Insurance & Retirement Benefits. Pay is according to Experience and the Wayne School District Salary Schedule.

Custodian - Hanksville Elementary
Wayne School District is accepting applications for a Part-Time Custodian at Hanksville Elementary School. This position will be 15-20 hours per week, with no benefits. The wage will be according to Wayne School District’s salary schedule. The successful applicant will oversee and manage the Custodial needs at Hanksville Elementary. The applicant needs to have a positive attitude, and interact in a positive and friendly manner with students and staff on a daily basis. They will need to be able to work as a team.

Instructional Assistant - SPED - 2024-25 School Year
Wayne School District is accepting applications for Special Education Instructional Assistants.  Applicants will be required to work under general supervision and provide assistance to a classroom teacher, performing a variety of tasks relating to the physical and instructional needs of students in a classroom setting; assists in the implementation of instructional programs, including self-help and behavior management, as well as, instruction. The special education assistant performs related duties as required or assigned.
