Girls Basketball Split at Valley

The eighth grade girls’ basketball traveling team has started. Their first game was on December 11 in Valley. They played Valley at 9a.m and Bryce Valley at 1p.m. The score for the Bryce Valley game was 46~16 the wolverines won. In the Valley game they lost by 5. The score was 33~28.      The starter players for these games were Timber, Macey, Madilynn, Oaklee, and Bree. They won both games.nThe other teams were playing zone on them so they couldn’t do the plays we planned. The team got a lot of drives and fast breaks to the basket. Ashlee Jackson coached these games because Jason Jackson couldn’t make it to them.

E-sports Club

E-sports is a gaming club and its really not about sports, you see it is video games!  All types of video games and Mr. Moore is the head coach of this club. I asked him some questions...

Q. Why did you decide to join this video gaming club and why did you decide to coach the Esports club?

A. I want students to enjoy their time here at school and for the students to enjoy video games.

Q. What do you like about video games?

A. Because they are very competitive and because I want all

the students relax a little after school and have fun.

Q. Who is funding the Esports club?

A. Ken  Garff, the car dealership.  They gave us a grant.  That’s how we afford everything like the Nintendo Switches and extra controllers.

Q. Where does the club take place?

A. Tuesdays and Thursdays in my room.

Q. When does it start?

A. 3pm and it goes until 4pm, or a little later because sometimes we get caught up when we’re playing video games.

Break The Rules Week

This week we are celebrating Break the Rules Week. It is a fundraiser to help pay for our activities. Our activities are the ski trip and bowling. It also pays for the 8th grade Lagoon Trip. On Tuesday, we sold nine, 12 packs of soda from second hour to lunch. We also played dodgeball in the gym if we wore hats. Students can bring their money to school and pay to break those rules for the day.

Shoe Box Rooms

On November 2nd, Ms.Chappells FACS class set up their rooms that they made out of shoe boxes for their interior design unit. They invited all the other 7th period classes to come and see their rooms, and tell them what their favorite part about each room was. They all did an awesome job with their rooms!
